For all of you giving the Bills props I would like to point out Indy's 41-15 win over the Bills last year in Buffalo.

"One problem with people who have no vices is that they're pretty sure to have some annoying virtues."
From NBC Sports w/ NBC Sports' comments:
Roger Goodell said the league is seeking tougher punishment for Deshaun Watson because his "multiple violations" were "egregious" and "predatory behavior."
Watson was given a six-game suspension by Judge Sue Robinson last week. The league quickly appealed and is reportedly looking for an indefinite suspension. "We've seen the evidence, she was very clear about the evidence, she reinforced the evidence,'' Goodell said of Robinson's ruling. Former New Jersey attorney general Peter C. Harvey will hear the NFL's appeal.

Mekhi Beckton out for the season with a fractured kneecap.
And, this is why you don't draft players with a history of weight issues in any sport.

Just in case you hadn't heard this one...
From NBC Sports w/ NBC Sports' comments:
An NFL spokesperson said Aaron Rodgers' use of an hallucinogenic drink isn't considered a violation of the league's drug policy.
Rodgers said on a recent podcast appearance that he consumed the hallucinogenic drink ayahuasca during a retreat to Peru in 2020, prompting concerns about the NFL's draconian drug policy. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said ayahuasca wouldn't have triggered a positive test result on NFL's the substance abuse or performance-enhancing substance policies collectively bargained by the NFL and the players union.

Will have to downgrade the Colts after hearing this news:
From NBC Sports w/ NBC Sports' comments:
Colts LB Shaquille (Darius) Leonard (back surgery) remains without a timetable for a return and is expected to miss regular season games.
The best NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe's source could do for a timeline was "some point" this season. Leonard remained in street clothes at Monday's training camp practice. On the active/PUP list, he seems likely to remain there to begin the regular campaign, which would cost him at least four games. Injuries have always been an issue for Leonard, but he has missed a modest seven contests in four seasons. That number appears poised to go way up this season, and it is a massive blow for the Colts' defense, especially on the ground.

Looking at their 1st 8 games:
@ HOU
@ JAX
Both wins, no problem, with or without Leonard.
Hosting KCC and TEN WKS 3-4. Being at home gives them a much better chance to win these games, but these are tie-breaker games they need to win at home, likely losing on the road @TEN (which is WK7).
If he has to miss beyond the minimum 4 weeks, WK5 is @DEN, another tie-breaker game. @DEN is hard to win no matter what. Without Leonard, it's much tougher.
WK6 JAX, easy win, with or without Leonard.
WK7 @TEN,... If Leonard isn't back by this one, kiss the Division Title good-bye and now the goal is to win one of the two Wild Card spots.
WK 8 WAS, easy win, with or without Leonard.
WK's 9 & 10, @NEP & @LVR, both tie-breaker games.
For the Colts to make the playoffs, they need Leonard, as much as the Bengals need Reader. At the minimum, they need Leonard back by WK9, preferably they have him back by WK7. Back by WK5 for the @DEN game would be ideal.

Great news for the Colts and Matt Ryan:
August 10th, 2022 at 10:32am CST by Sam Robinson
"Ryan Kelly and Braden Smith each signed their extensions during Colts training camp, the former in September 2020 and the latter in July of last year. The team is hoping to have Quenton Nelson follow that path.
The Colts’ goal is to have Nelson signed by the end of this month, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. All other extension business is on hold. This includes Kenny Moore, who lobbied for a new contract this offseason, and Bobby Okereke, whom Fowler adds has emerged on the team’s extension radar. A 2019 third-round pick, Okereke is entering a contract year.
Nelson, who is 4-for-4 in Pro Bowl nods to start his career, is going into his fifth-year option season ($13.75MM). Neither Kelly nor Smith played a game on an expiring contract, with the former signing ahead of his fifth season and the latter before his fourth. This trio forms the core of what has been one of the NFL’s best offensive lines, and Nelson’s looming extension has undoubtedly influenced other Colts moves up front. Eric Fisher is gone, and the team also did not bring back four-year guard starter Mark Glowinski. Low-cost players are now in place at left tackle and right guard, respectively."

The Browns chose to let go Jarvis Landry and let the 5'7" Jakeem Grant, a Pro Bowler as a Kick Returner, win the Slot Receiver opening.
Jakeem Grant just tore his ACL today leaving the Brown's Receiver Corps much thinner for Jacoby Brisset to throw the ball to. With Kareem Hunt whining about a trade and the Browns ignoring his requests, the Browns may now be willing to trade away Hunt for an established Receiver to go alongside Amari Cooper. When given the opportunity in a Starting role last season, Donovan Peoples-Jones failed miserably. It didn't help having Mayfield as his Quarterback, but Mayfield wasn't helped having Peoples-Jones as a Starting Receiver. I doubt if Odell-Beckham will be asked to return, but they can't go into the season with DPJ, Anthony Schwartz and 3rd Round Rookie David Bell as their Receiver options after Cooper. Defenses were probably going to stack the line already in order to stop the run, but there's no doubt that 8-in-the-box will be the norm against the Browns now.

The Dolphins traded TE Adam Sheheen today to the Texans for a 7th Round pick.
WR Preston Williams wants out and Miami is offering him up for trade, too. Preston Williams would be an upgrade over DPJ for Cleveland, while the Dolphins are also shopping WR Lynn Bowden, Jr., a more sizeable player for the Slot position than Jakeem Grant would have been. Preston Williams has struggled to stay healthy, but he has a ton of talent. Perhaps he struggles with route-running, I don't know. He's certainly worth whatever the Dolphins are looking for in return, while they wouldn't have to part with Hunt to get him. Williams couldn't be worth more than a conditional 6th Rd pick.
At 6'5", 220lbs, Preston Williams would make a formidable Redzone target for Brissett.

There's a tweet out there by someone that the Browns have signed Coilin Kaepernick. I'm not saying it's BS but there are no links to it on ESPN and the guy who tweeted it credited Adam Schefter but he has nothing about it on his Twitter. So, if you come across it, take it with a grain of salt.

Very cool to see Desmond Ridder win it late in the 4th tonight.
