    Re: 2022 Ohio State Football

The offense looks basically unstoppable and the defense is obviously improved.

The emergence of Stover, Williams, Hall and Eichenberg I think ultimately will be the difference with this team.

Stover is feasting a bit on the fact that JSN hasn’t played, but he’s the best pass catching TE maybe ever for OSU and adding him to the rest of the offense is a match up nightmare.

Miyan is every bit as good (maybe better?) than Henderson and that combo is brutal. It was really on display against Wisconsin even though Henderson played a lot more.

Eichenberg is the best defensive player on the field. He’s just everywhere. I thought he was going to transfer a year ago. It’s hard to have a shut down defense without a great player in that spot and he’s proving to be a huge difference maker.

Hall had that injury and slowed him down a bit, but OSU hasn’t had a disruptive DT like him since maybe Dremont Jones? If he can keep it up, again it’s just a huge difference maker and makes the rest of the line better.

Offense looks unstoppable right now, without their best WR.

Stover has made himself quite a bit of money this season at TE. Guy looks like a top tier draftable TE right now.

I was wrong about Eichenberg, guy has been great. My main question, and it won't really be on display unit a potential playoff matchup, but is he fast enough to play with elite athletes? He is a fantastic B1G LB, but can he take it to the next level?

Hall, JTT, and Sawyer look to be an unstoppable DLine going forward. Those guys are just game wreckers.

I agree, the offense looks great. The defensive line, LBs, and safeties look great. The CBs = this concerns me. Burke has been horrible and is now hurt. Brown is hurt. Hancock hurt. Not great.

Yeah CB depth is certainly a concern, although getting more QB pressure certainly helps.

Sounds like only Hancock is a long term deal, so there should be at least 5 guys.

They really need to not wiff on CB in 2023 class and it’s not looking great. What happened to DBU?

They have 3 guys and the Texas kid is a top 100 recruit.

Corners and OL are always hard to project though.

How about the play of Julian Fleming?

He has been solid last two weeks, good to see! Hopefully he can keep it going as the schedule gets tougher.

Not sure what that has to do with the lack of depth and injuries at the CB position, but nice gotcha I guess?

Dunno. He initially was in good position but let the receiver get the best of him as the ball got there. Poor play.

    Schiano is trying every gimmicks

I just mean in general, he’s been horrible all year. Was excellent last year. Teams are targeting him at this point.

Big day for Miyan Williams, 5 TDs and 189 yards. Buckeyes 49-10 early 4Q.

And Williams tied a Buckeye record with 5 TDs.

Roy was at the OSU-Illinois game in 1984 when Keith Byars of Dayton Roth set the record of 5 TDs. I think he ran for 270-some yards. One of the first games I can remember with lights at Ohio Stadium.

    Old fart remembrances.

Miyan Williams is kind of stealing the spotlight, especially from Henderson. Henderson is fantastic, but it might be time for Miyan to be RB1 for rest of 2022 and let 2023 be the year of Henderson.
