Figured just start a new thread to focus on the tourney.
Who we got?
I am still working on prelim brackets, but my early gut is telling me this for final four:
Texas Tech
Kentucky
Arizona
Kansas
Kentucky vs Arizona
Arizona wins

Arizona is the big wild card for me. I haven't seen them play. They kinda snuck up on me. Everyone is raving about them. So we will see.
I just did the ESPN Tournament challenege and this is who I came up with:
Gonzaga
Kentucky (homer pick )
Tennessee
Kansas
Picked Gonzaga to beat Tennessee in the Finals. I'm not comfortable with any of them except Gonzaga. I think this will be their year. They have methodically moved along over the years to where last year they got to the finals. This year will finally be it for them.

Thought I could get good odds on Iowa to get to the Sweet 16, but they're heavily favored to be there (over their probable opponent, Providence, a higher seed, in the 2nd Rd).

Apparently I wasn't the only one to notice.
Scott Van Pelt just had a segment on Providence's 18% chance of reaching the Sweet 16. Apparently no #4 seed has ever had less than a 22% chance of reaching the Sweet 16 in the history of the tournament and as far back as they can find the odds. A couple of teams in the early 2000's were given a lowly 22% chance.
Don't know if it's because of Providence, or because they are going to have to beat Iowa to get there. I'm guessing the latter.

It's Providence, not Iowa. Providence won a lot of close games this year. More than can really be accounted for by skill. They're actually #49 in KenPom and #35 in Sagarin. Super low for a 4 seed. I kind of expect them to lose to SD State.
