    Heh.

I really think Bell and Krall are going to make him the backup catcher, with Stephenson playing a ton of DH to keep him rested but his bat in the lineup.

I don't think anyone know what Fraley is yet.

trade Farmer for an outfielder with a pulse and a little upside

I'm assuming that has to be a minor league deal.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I also read the same thing but mass hallucinations have happened before so here's to holding out hope

What wrong with him is that he is on the wrong side of a platoon, is a horrible defender at 2nd (basically his only position now) and makes 4.5M (team reallocating resources)
I guess he could be the RH DH (which I think should mostly be Stephenson)
Reds need righty bats but in the OF or someone that can play around the field.

Farmer's one of those dime-a-dozen guys who shouldn't ever be signed for more than $2M a season. He's also one of those guys who will turn in a near All-Star level season while costing just $2M or so.

    Buck is a depth piece.

The problem is that the Reds often waste tons of innings on would-be depth pieces because they cost a couple of million more than AAA guys. (Jason Marquis says hi.)

Buck Farmer is there. No idea what type of contract.

We know enough about Farley, and more than enough about the others to answer the question: yes this is the worst outfield in baseball, and by far the least inspiring.

Hey! We had two starting All-Star OF'ers. Oh, wait

Ripe for a slip-up that will really insult some dude named Barmer.

Twins need a shortstop as well. Angels... anyone else? Hopefully Farmer goes in a trade.

Solano has some good numbers, seems like something has to give here.
Moose is a goner if they're willing to deal Votto, Castillo or Mahle in order to get someone to take him.

Aren't the Twins supposed to be close with Trevor Story?

If the Reds sign Buck Farmer he needs to be a utility pitcher.

There should be a young prospect pitcher named Barrero who must pitch every day.
