To me my first reaction is Solano is insurance for Moose at third. Ideally I hope it sets up a Farmer for bullpen help trade, and allows Barrero to take over SS.

Reds could have signed Cueto and solano and not traded Winker, Suarez, and Gray and have had a pretty good chance in the division.

Nice to see the Reds get a monopoly on the MLB Farmers.

They could have traded Miley for a relief arm, jettisoned Garrett, kept Winker and Suarez, signed Cueto, had a better team and still save payroll from 2021.

Not with the budget they decided on. Which again, is the central problem.

They could have decided on any number up to $200M and been fine. But they care more about profits so they picked a low number. Granted it’s not Pirates low, but it doesn’t have to be this low.

Their goal is to sign another 24 of them so they can be called “Farmer’s Only.”

Lord. What a bunch of knuckleheads we have as a front office. Reminds me of the movie Major League.

Castellini really should be embarrassed by this sh*t show of moves. Embarrassed. Sell the team Bob. You obviously don’t care any more.

Sorry, I’m just venting. No insights

Barrero is going learn something from watching this guy hit. Professional hitter. If you liked watching Jeff Keppinger swing it, you’ll like Solano.
Reds putting together an interesting roster, IMO. I like how they’ve come out ready to make moves.
