Unfortunately the hot streak has come to an end.

Last 15 games for Nick: .244/.306/.289

He’s starting to hit the ball with more authority. That’s a good sign IMO n

Yes — really stuck out to me when on Saturday he pulled 3 balls over 100 mph, the last one off the wall. The hardest I have seen him hit the ball all year. He’s bigger this year than ever before, and perhaps it’s taking him some time to put it all together physically. Keep running him out there. Still may be a good player in there.

He's got awful instincts in the OF.

Well he’s really an infielder. Maybe it’s time to play him as one.

Well, currently where on the infield should he play?
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

3b sounds good to me. Especially if Drury is moved.

It’s getting harder and harder to squint and see any optimism left for Nick. The upside is, at one point this season, he finally put up a streak of games with an above average OPS. Which is nice, had he actually built on that.

But it looks like a BABIP lucky streak is all it was. Last 2-3 weeks he’s right back to his usual anemic hitting ways.

If I had my way, I’d just up and package him in a deal for Ian Happ this off-season or trade him for a decent part time catcher or something.

I've wanted that particular trade for years. At this point it's only happening if Senzel is a throw-in.

Why would Ian Happ be traded for Senzel? Why would they take Senzel for him? Maybe as a throw in with somebody else, but right now, what do the Reds have to trade for Ian Happ. Here is who they'd take. Lodolo, Greene, India, Stephenson, Ashcraft, Diaz (maybe), de La Cruz, McLain. Marte, Arroyo maybe Barrero. That's pretty much the whole list.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Yeah. He wouldn’t be the headliner in that deal, unfortunately.

I generally like the way you think. But we disagree on this.

Remember that play in Wrigley where Ryan Freel dove almost head first into the fence on the 3B side making the play and almost doubling up a runner on 2B? That would have ended Senzel's career and turned him into this:

    Dubito Ergo Cogito Ergo Sum.
