Mike Minor will be making another rehab start, probably Thursday for Louisville.

Did India tear his hamstring in 92 places? This thing is dragging.

Castillo, Mahle, Greene, Ashcraft, and Overton-- when healthy-- is an interesting enough rotation.

Shine up Minor with a couple of starts, then send him elsewhere. (If possible.)

I'm guessing either Castillo or Mahle gets dealt when Lodolo gets healthy. The other goes when Dunn shows he's ready.

    Re: 2022 Reds Injury Updates

    RHP Connor Overton (back soreness)
    Expected return: TBD
Overton was scratched from his May 22 series finale start against the Blue Jays after complaining about back soreness the previous day. The 28-year-old was “a little bit more sore” on Sunday morning, per Reds manager David Bell, and Overton will see a doctor in Cincinnati on Monday. -- Ethan Diamandas (Last updated: May 22)

LHP Mike Minor (left shoulder soreness)
Expected return: Late May or early June
Manager David Bell said that Minor felt “fine” after his 79-pitch rehab start for Triple-A Louisville on May 20, but the Reds decided he needs at least one more Minor League outing before making his return. Minor’s next Triple-A appearance could come on May 26. -- Ethan Diamandas (Last updated: May 22)

LHP Nick Lodolo (lower right back strain)
    Expected return: TBD
Lodolo has resumed throwing as he recovers from a back injury that’s kept him sidelined since April 24. He played catch on May 22, then will resume throwing on May 24, according to manager David Bell. -- Ethan Diamandas (Last updated: May 22)

OF Jake Fraley (right knee inflammation)
Expected return: Late May or early June
Fraley, who took batting practice on May 17 and he did some work in the field with outfield coach Jeff Pickler, began a rehab assignment on May 22 with High-A Dayton. -- Ethan Diamandas (Last updated: May 22)

I hope they aren't waiting around for Lodolo/Dunn to deal those guys, and I doubt they are. They should just deal them when the right deal arrives. This season is already toast and there appears to be enough depth to not be a complete and total disaster (though that's possible, too). I'm fine giving Greene/Ashcraft/Lodolo/Overton as many starts as they can handle, possibly Spiers and Dunn in the 2nd half too.

I'd love to see Minor put together a string of good starts and fetch an interesting prospect.

Nick Senzel is back in the clubhouse, and he says he’ll be in the lineup today. He was sick for a bit, but Senzel could tell on his rehab assignment that he was ready to go.

Overton got some bad news today. MRI showed a stress reaction in his lower back. Said he’s out 6-8 weeks. He wasn’t expecting to hear that news and had been pitching with it. More later.
    Oh..

What the hell's a stress reaction? In a bone or is this a soft tissue thing?

This Reds team not only isn't talented. They're also really prone to injury

I’d go with Ashcraft until Lodolo or Overton is ready.

Aristides Aquino is back with the Reds big league roster. Kyle Farmer is out today with soreness. Nick Lodolo is playing catch but isn’t back to pitching.

Jake Fraley will continue his rehab assignment this week.

    So Reds are at 26.

    IL Overton, 25.

    Activate Senzel and Aquino, 27.

Guess here is Lopez and Friedl go down, another pitcher comes up. If Detwiler is back from leave, he would be the pitcher.

If they want to deal those 2, and deals they like are there, they won't time it with the uncertain return of anyone currently on the DL.

    Re: 2022 Reds Injury Updates

Is this on the players inability to get ready. Get fit. It’s a joke now since No team has had anywhere close to this many injuries. Or is it the quack crack medical Reds team?
