I don’t see Linderbaum being a necessity and wouldn’t be mad if the Bengals did pass him over for a CB. That said, if the best they could get is a 2nd and 4th rounder or worse for trading out of the first round something is wrong.
We'll know in a little over 2 weeks how wrong Kiper was

The only reason he did that was because McShay gave him hell after the 30th pick for not mocking a trade for the entire draft. Kiper took off his mic and walked off the screen, the 2nd night in a row he did that. The night before he didn't come back after mocking his hair, morphing it onto one of the other bald analyst's head at the end of their show. The host last night publicly apologised asking him to return while Kiper was actually scrambling to come up with an intelligent trade scenario to come back onto the show to poke fun back at McShay. That's the only reason he mocked a trade for the Bengals. It was all in good fun.

That said, I felt before he did that joke, the Bengals' best use of the #31 pick is to acquire additional picks, which would include a 2nd Rd pick in the Top-10 of the 2nd Rd this year. Unless there's a prospect that falls significantly on their board that they just can't believe that he's there, they should still be able to get a player they want in the top-10 of the 2nd Rd, while adding another quality pick for later (perhaps a 2nd or 3rd next year). With large contracts in the future for Burrow, Chase and Higgins, financially they will be better off with multiple 2nd and 3rd Rd picks instead of another 1st down the road.

I hope his forced error is correct.

I like your idea of a 2nd rd pick but apparently Kiper only had us getting a 3rd day pick.

This year's draft is kinda thin. Better to get future picks.

Agree with this. For the Bengals, if the choice to move back a few spot is a 2022 4th or a 2023 3rd, give me the latter.

Kiper in a panic is not a good thing.

Good draft. I'd probably have Jermaine Johnson going a little higher. Also, the Eagles really, really do not like LB's in the 1st. Perhaps that will change this year.

Sauce going to New York would be far enough removed from the Bengals for me to still root for him to have a good career.

Travon Walker goes first. Amazing Baalke still has that much pull in Jacksonville.
