I know its only 8 games, but Pham is hitless, got a late start, is not a great hitter anyhow, and has no business slotted in the three spot come hell or highwater.

Your point on late start is a good one. Because of that fact alone, Bell should not bat him 3rd. Historical stats from 3 prior years can't tell you that the guy needs a little more time to become acclimated. Another problem with over-reliance on stats.
