    Re: 2022 Reds Attendance

I'm becoming less of a Reds fan because of an inability to see games live. Sinclair can't cut a deal with YouTube TV and MLB TV blacks out the games live, so I'm watching more games from the Red Sox, Yankees, Angels, and A's this year.

And when a team starts 3-22 it doesn't help. I find myself watching more of the condensed highlights afterward.

i work nights now so I watch the game from the day before at about 5:30 am. I never know the score before i watch. It actually works great for me because what else are you at 5:30 am? I have MLB extra innings and live out of market so it all works.

Bob is a figurehead now, you'd probably want Phil in the seat because he's the loudmouth and the one who is more involved in the team operations

This one is really dumb, IMO. They could easily just make variable game start times.. Start weekday games somewhere between 6 and 8.. sometimes earlier for the locals, sometimes later for the out of towners.

I agree with you on all points. This is the most apathetic I have ever been about the Reds. If RZ did not exist, I'd know nothing about the team this year. IT's still fun to pop into RZ at least.

Anyone have actual turnstile #? An attendance of 20,000 would mean every other seat was occupied, hard to believe when all the outfield seats are empty.

I have yet to see a single at bat "live" in a Reds game this season. All of their games are blacked out. When I was a child first watching the Reds back in the 1960s, I probably watched 30 or more Reds games a year on our little black and white Zenith TV with "rabbit ears." Now Reds games are not available.

I still love the Reds. I’ve watched a lot of games this year and, besides that little detail of a 3-22 start, they’ve played decent baseball. Haven’t been to a game yet but that’s more due to that pesky health thing than anything else.

Tomorrow is my last day of work so maybe I’ll have more time.

i say let those in charge of making the Ball Park Experience and the Reds HOF great for fans in charge of putting a Winning team together.. That will sell tickets. Not crying poverty when you have no guts to open the books!!

I have Dish. I'm not paying $79 more a month for Direct TV which I hate or a Spectrum streaming service. Not seen a game all year and haven't really missed watching a bad team. If they were competitive, I could see myself biting the bullet but I made a conscious decision to not spend money on a team not willing to spend money either.

Stop, this makes too much sense. In all seriousness, I like your idea and I think fans would give. Give them the option. Monday games start around 6:00 (kids night), Tuesday 6:30 Taco night (free taco for everyone!), Wednesday 7:00, Thursday 7:30 (no one works on Friday anyways…lol).
