Yet there are those who blame Votto's contract as the reason the Reds have lacked success. I feel like I have been watching a different movie.

I can’t believe in the year of our Lord 2022, we’re still having the “is Joey Votto a Hall of Famer?” debate
Joey Votto is not your grandpa’s Hall of Famer, but he absolutely belongs

First triple in GAB since 2016. The man still bangs, and wheels too.
Speaking of - wheels, where you at?

Here’s my two cents on triples
Triples today are less a result of slugging and more a result of field quirks

Joey Votto was working on a few significant adjustments in late April. Then he got sick, and he didn’t immediately get to see how well they could work.
Now, Votto is seeing the payoff.

I learned a long time ago Votto will tell us when he’s washed, not some random dude on a message board.

Yeah, that's true but triples were still big until the fifties, then they waned and multi-use stadiums and turf increased them and now all the quirk boutique parks have weird areas that cause havoc if a ball is every in play (so few chances of that) but it seems I see more weird ones than drives

Joey Votto didn’t look at it like missed two homers at Fenway last night.
He saw it as two good swings that will lead to positive results in any ballpark.
