    4/20 Minor League Scores

    4:20, woo hoo! (Or something.)

Louisville plays the Cubs. They lost yesterday. I'm guessing we can say the same thing tomorrow.

Chattanooga lost late last night. They can hopefully come back tonight.

Dayton won. Elly De La Cruz is hot. All is right with the world.

Daytona dominated. Joe Boyle looked really good. He won the 4/19 Mace Memorial Minor League Player of the Day for his 4 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 10 K night. Let's hope we get even more good pitching tonight.

Honestly thinking now that the Reds should just call up Matt McLain and TJ Hopkins and play them every day for a bit, just to see what happens.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Hopkins, yes. Solomon will probably earn a callup too. Reds should take their time with McLain, no need to rush him to the big league mess just yet.

Jose Torres is 3 for 3 with a homer, a run scored, an RBI and a SB in Dayton tonight.
Elly de La Cruz 2 for 3.

    Dayton winning 6-3 after 5.

    Louisville won 3-2.

Ashcraft 4 IP, 6 H, 2 BB only 1 K, but somehow only one unearned run allowed.
    Cedrola 2 for 5.
Dawson 0 for 1 with three BB and an SB.

After the Reds losing more games in a row than I can count, at least we have the minor league threads to be happy about.

Torres now has two HR on the night and is a perfect 4-4. 11 total bases on the night.

All he needs is a triple for the cycle too.

It's the top of the 9th, Dragons lead 7-3.

Sam Benschoter has officially gotten my attention. Four more innings tonight with no earned runs, 2 H, 1 BB, 9 K. He probably needs to get bumped up to High A at this point-- he's well over-age for the league. But those peripherals are more than acceptable. Speaking of more than acceptable, Jay Allen is doing Jay Allen things. He's 1-3 with his 2nd HR of the season and his 7th stolen base. Yerlin Confidan is 1-2 with a couple of walks. Gus Steiger also has a couple of hits. The 'Tugas lead, 8-3.

It’s funny: 2 Hr, a single, and double is better than a cycle but it’s not memorable.

Yeah, I was thinking about that as I was typing.

Nice to see the minor leaguers heat up. It reminds me that baseball players can actually hit the ball with authority. And sometimes score runs.

For the first time this season, all four Red minor league teams won their games!

    4-0!

    Let's start a trend.

We do know how LOU fabs feel though. This organization has treated that affiliate like a toilet.
