The AAA Louisville Bats have Ben Lively on the bump. The former Phil is 0-2 with a 5.54 ERA. Time for a gem, Ben. He faces off against Matt Swarmer, who has yet to give up an earned run this season. He's got 11 K's too. That's a bunch. Might be a long night at the old ballpark for Bat fans, but that's typical, amirite? The Bats came back last night from down five runs to get the win in extras-- they're now 5-10 on the year. Five more in a row gets them to .500.
AA Chattanooga is 6-6 after losing last night. They face off against the Mississippi Braves and Jared Shuster, who owns a 0.90 ERA with 17 Ks. They'll need to dent that scoreboard somehow. It'll be a good test for a trio of hot Lookouts-- TJ Hopkins, Matt McLain, and Michael Siani. Good challenges to see where they are currently. No one has a clue as to who will pitch tonight for Chattanooga.
High A Dayton is the cream of their division. That 9-3 record is super shiny. The Dragons will send Conner Phillips (2.89 ERA, 13 Ks) to the mound against TBD. Elly De La Cruz took a day off last night. I'm expecting he'll play tonight.
The Low A Daytona Tortugas evened their seasonal record at 6-6 last night. They send out ace hurler Juliuan Aguiar. 14 Ks and a clean record otherwise indicates some real dominance so far for the former 12th rounder. Nice to see, for sure. That 'Tuga team has six starters who've got ERAs at 2.53 or less this season. Two haven't been scored upon at all. Their overall team ERA is 2.99 with an 11.4 K-9 against 7.5 H/9 and 3.8 BB/9. None of those numbers, surprisingly, lead the league.
