When teams are this bad, teams generally make the managers and coaches the scapegoats, so should the Reds go ahead and fire Bell and the staff?
(I don’t think any of this is his fault, FWIW.)
Poll incoming I think, if I’ve set this up right

Didn’t they just extend the guy? That may make it tough to make him the scapegoat. A team that’s been slashing payroll may not want to eat the manager and entire coaching staff salary.

You can't blame David Bell or his coaching staff for this mess.
All blame lays at the feet of the Castellini family.

I guess the better question isn’t should they, but will they? I’m guessing they will.
Both Sparky and Lou Pinella would have the same record with this "team". If you fire Bell then it'd just be another guy overseeing a squad that loses almost every game.

No, but I really don't care at this point. A manager can't fix this team.
Glad Bell got his extension last year. He deserves every dime for having the rug pulled out from him a couple weeks prior to the start of the season.

Should they? No. Will they? I've gotta think they are getting close to that point
I selected don’t care but my real answer is “sure, why not?”
He was a nepotism hire. Screw him.
What would you say.....ya do here?

The Reds have given up more runs than they've had hits in the last 11 games. I don't think there's a manager past or present that is a solution with this roster. Is Bell the answer? Probably not, but with this group of ballplayers it doesn't matter.
Rdirtypirates (04-23-2022)
Absolutely. They never should have extended him.
But if my calculations are accurate, Reds fans should enjoy 268 more bloodless Bell-managed games to arrive at Bryan Price's total of 666.
