When's the last time a Reds pitcher allowed a team to bat around before recording an out?
At this point they would be better off using openers and having bullpen days then letting him start until Castillo is back
Use votto as an opener
sanmartin could possibly be a good reliever. however, let's be real. this is a 26-year-old rookie who is 150 pounds soaking wet who put up above average stats in the minors. everything about him screams "not a major leaguer."

Just throwing this out here, but the Reds haven't scored 7 runs in a game this season.
Ladies and Gentlemen - I give you…The HOFF
“The crows seem to be calling my name,” thought Caw.
It does pose the question: How could Reds use this guy in the rotation? Didn’t they see that his stuff isn’t good enough? I guess their answer is that two starters are currently out injured.
Which leads to the question about Minor being acquired at $10 million with a shoulder injury. And whether there’s any other guy at AAA better than this as a fill-in.
