Considering that india, senzel and pham all hit well, i agree! The caveat has always been "if so and so starts hitting" or "when we get so and so back..." .well they are and still nothing. We will see a day when votto contributes to this group and we might overcome the pitching and win one. One. Then it'll always be another stretch where we lose 6, 8, 10 in a row. That is the reality of this season.

I probably sat there in riverfront with you, boiling in the outfield red seats. My hero and still alltime favorite player is dave concepcion. My first game was august 1971.

Davey was always a terrific defender but he became a much better offensive player as he matured and got stronger. . Early on in his career as a Red he was quite weak as a hitter. Never would I have imagined in the early '70's that Davey would someday hit one into the upper deck at Riverfront Stadium.

Btw, Gags , my first Reds' game was August 20, 1971--- a 6-0 Ross Grimsley shutout of the Pirates.
