Kevin St. Clair looks like Mike Leach

    KFR Baseball Stumper:
Can you name me? (Without doing research, of course)

In my only career pitching outing, I pitched two scoreless innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates , striking out three. That ties for the most strikeouts by a position player in a scoreless outing in the Expansion era. Two of my three strikeouts came at the expense of a Pirate Hall of Famer. The season following my scoreless relief outing, I was traded to the Pirates and proceeded to win the NL batting title.

    Who am I ???

Hints to come , if needed.

Whichever team Mahle eventually gets traded to, I am confident that he will pitch a complete game for them in his first start.

I know Pham is a bit of a knucklehead, but I really wouldn't mind him in LF for next year, as a placeholder at least. He brings a lot to the squad if/when healthy.

Very nice, Ron. That one was right in your wheel house---1965 !!! You wanna take a shot at who he defeated for the batting title in '66 ?

Hint: Remember the Archie Bunker sitcom?

I’ve enjoyed him. And this group could use a guy like that. Wouldn’t go over 2 years on a deal, though.

So is Vlad available out of the bullpen? I'm cautiously optimistic his stuff might play up as a MIRP. Rooting for it and for him to find success there.

Pham seems determined to play well so that he'll be traded to a contender. That seems likely to happen, in my opinion
