I think Sam LeCure will take Chris' place with Sadak in Toronto over the weekend

Why have 14 pitchers when you cannot find a way to use them enough. Just a question that never gets answered. Reds aren’t the only team either.

Want to have a good cringe? Listen to the lyrics. They’re not horribly offensive, but they’re sooooo poorly written. Juvenile.

Its a safety issue because of the shortened three week spring training they say.

Tyler Naquin has won the Ohio Cup Frank Robinson Most Outstanding Player award.

In the 4-game series vs the Guardians, he went 8-for-15 with 2 doubles, 3 HR, 4 RBI and 7 runs scored.

I have not read through this thread, but why isn't Jeff Hoffman pitching lately? He has been very good this season.

Yes I know why they did it. And then extended it. However I don’t think it’s needed at this point. To the detriment of this already talent lacking bullpen.

You know why. Hoff hasn’t wanted to be hassled.

See the same issue with Cessa. Santillan. Lack of work now that the starters have gone more than 5 innings lately. They are not behind. Hoffman is going to be rusty soon too. Maybe it’s all teams but Bell uses who he deemed were the late inning closers. Performance be damned for at least the first month. That’s why you see Warren used more than he should in high leverage situations. Hoffman is the long man type. Or we need someone to eat innings when we’re behind.

From the talk by some on here, Bell doesn't make these decisions. We read on RZ all the time that the higher-ups determine who plays, how often they play, where they play, when they play, etc... I personally think Bell determines these things(as he should) but I may be wrong.

I’ve always figured lineups are one thing managers still get some leeway on. Really in general I don’t worry much about batting order other than the very obvious point that your best hitters should be at the top of the lineup to get more ABs. And so Friedl #1 and Naquin #6 is just a blatant example of ignoring that.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
