RIP Ray Liotta, star of Goodfellas

    https://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...wza-story.html

    RIP

He was just incredible as Henry Hill in Goodfellas. I saw that movie for the first time when I was like 10 years old. It is a performance that will stick with me my entire life. Just incredible.

    Great, underrated and underappreciated actor.
What would you say.....ya do here?

First saw him in Something Wild, which if you haven't seen it, you're in for a treat. He was like watching caged dynamite.

Loved him in pretty much everything he ever did. Massively underrated Liotta performance - Operation Dumbo Drop. Not joking.

I remember watching this as a kid and thinking I was in for a goofy kids movie. Yes, but also, nope.

Of all the Oscar nomination snubs, his performance in Goodfellas is always the first one that comes to mind.

I also believe he was the first choice to play Ralphie in The Sopranos, as well as Dignam in The Departed. That would have been interesting to see.

"Why is this guy doing serious acting in a kids' movie?"

Ray Liotta refused to half-ass it.

He was definitely leagues above Marky Mark as an actor, that’s for damn sure.

clearly Goodfellas was iconic....but I liked the guy in everything he did.

I thought he stood out as Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams. He told Kevin/Ray to remember his line - “if you build it, he will come”.

Goodfellas is probably my favorite movie of all time. I think about it every time I chop garlic now. I love that dinner scene in the jail.
