It's a small thing, but I had forgotten about that message that played on the speakers outside the stadium but I can hear it so vividly now: "Cans, bottles, and alcoholic beverages are not permitted..."
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

I can remember the dixie land band playing when you were coming into the stadium an at intervals throughout the game. Paul Somerkamps voice resonating throughout the stadium giving the lineups and announcing the players coming to bat.

I still contend that the $5 standing room ticket was the worlds greatest bargain

I remember buying "Top 6" Tickets for $3 in riverfront. It was a seat in one of the Top 6 rows. You could look down and see the whole field from above. I loved sitting there and it was so cheap. I was able to buy those all the way through the 90s. .
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!
