I’ve seen this before with guys who get put at lead off. It sometimes changes their whole approach. Even far better hitters than Senzel fall prey to this. Suddenly they are playing for walks and trying to beat out grounders.
I don’t think it suits Senzel well and I’d rather see him hit away, like he’d done his whole life.
...and picked off the bases twice during that time eliminating a couple of those hits and killing rallies.
