I don’t disagree, but I think Bell is trying to make up for a lack of lefty hitting against righties.

So he’s using Friedl (LHH) at the top, he brought back Colin Moran, Schrock is soon to follow.

It’s a pretty weak response to the problem, but we need to view some of these decisions in that light.

I’m freaking sick of seeing Friedl leading off.

Maybe he has to play due to injuries, but this is inexcusable to give him the most ABs. He isn’t going to miraculously find it by seeing more pitches.

Hopefully Moran stays up when Schrock comes back and Friedl goes.
How did Rojas Reach base? I missed it.

Ron, I am kind of surprised you aren't at the game. Temps are down. Not as hot and muggy.

I would’ve went to this one but my son (my sidekick) is out gallivanting around with his friends

I would say he is afraid of the long ball in GABP. But he nibbles on the road as well. When he comes right after hitters. He is as good as anyone. He might very well flourish if/when he gets traded and a different pitching coach maybe gets through to him. He is good now but he could be dominate.

I'd love to be there today but I'm not feeling well, it's a fine day to be at the ballpark.

D-backs took themselves out of that inning by whiffing on pitches out of the zone. That could have been much worse.

Mahle nibbles out that jam. No score after a half inning.
