Because we have a ho-hum-go-gettum pitching coach, and no competition for playing time. If I were Diaz (and bless his heart for finishing it out for the W), no way do I go fist-bumping, hugging anyone after that. Striking out Poop Holes is no longer a thing to be proud of. I don't feel well at all today, that's part of my problem today.

Kurosawa was directing the Japanese story before his running time was being reduced and exhaustion/depression set in. The American producers thought he was losing it. His methods not meshing with the American methods. He had co written the story which was still used but was hours longer then what was filmed.

Was Cessa an option to pitch another inning? He only had 10 pitches in the 8th, 15 pitches in 1 inning on Sat, nothing on Friday.
That would allow Diaz a day of rest before 3 straight at Arizona.
