He was born and raised in Boston. He's got some L.A. ties.

Side note on Brewers envy: it's going to reach new levels if University of Cincinnati product Joey Wiemer turns out to be the real deal.

I don’t think you understand my sarcasm. It’s based on what the attitude seems to be of those who are selling the team and the city patrons in general.

Yes I knew that he wasn’t. I was doing my old Cincinnati native impersonation. I have already posted before about not caring if the Chinese Gang of Four bought this team. Just want an owner who lets baseball people. Smart competent baseball people run it with a plan based on what STL have done. Or CLE. But not avoid making some LT commitments or signing outside FA.

If I had Bob's money, I'd buy the biggest casket I could find, because that is where the money is going, right with him.
    Where we gonna go?

This team has set a course for 100 losses and I like the odds. They have nothing in the tank. June 21.

The sad part is that I don't think they are intentionally tanking.

Anyone know if Ryan Finley can pitch? The greatest Tank Commander in Cincinnati sports history may be needed to get the job done.

They're a perfect machine, built to tank.

Re: Reds swept by Brewers as they enter toughest stretch in schedule

My guess is that the Reds trade Castillo, Mahle, Drury, Pham and more between the All-Star break and the trading deadline.

They then play their best baseball of the season and end up with around 75 wins. This has happened many times before to rebuilding teams. Sometimes, going to full “play the kids” mode is the best thing for a team this bad.

These Reds have as much chance of winning 75 games as I do of winning the lottery (and I don't play the lottery).
