    2022 Minor League Transactions

    Bobby Nightengale
    @nightengalejr

    The Reds promoted prospects OF Allan Cerda, RHP Connor Phillips and INF Nick Quintana to Double-A Chattanooga.

    Cerda was placed on the 40-man roster last winter. Phillips and Quintana were trade additions last offseason.

    Getting Cerda and Phillips to AA is a start. Not sure why De La Cruz wasn't promoted.
    All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    Thinking they may want to make a separate announcement for the budding superstar. Or they think he's got things to work on.

    Siani, McLain, De La Cruz, and Hurtubise have stolen 67 bases and been caught only 11 times. There is some serious thievery going on in the minors.

    Quintana was the player the Reds acquired for Tucker. If he even reaches the MLB team for one day, that’s a surprising win for the Reds on that trade.

    Only 10 years ago, Billy Hamilton stole 88 more bases in 74 fewer games.

    IIRC, Hamilton once led two different leagues in SB's in the same year.

    Quin Cotton and Jonathan Willems wound up going the other direction from Chattanooga to Dayton. Also Tyler Callihan has been called up to Dayton from Daytona, with Michael Trautwein being sent the other way.

    Some more notable promotions:

    -OF Isiah Gilliam to Triple-A. He had an .892 OPS at Chattanooga.

    -INF Tyler Callihan headed to High-A Dayton. He had eight multi-hit games this month.

    Brandon Williamson, the top prospect the Reds acquired in the Jesse Winker/Eugenio Suárez trade from Seattle, was promoted to Triple-A Louisville.

    Reliever Ricky Karcher was called up to Louisville too.
