It's a showcase. He threw a 100 pitch, 7 inning gem. You know, the kind of thing people want from an ace.

More questions would come up if we took him out after 80 in a game where he's pitching well.

I would say I agree with everything but the major return part. I have zero confidence in Nick Krall to make a decent, competent trade. I'm sure we will get "trade raped".

I know Kevin Mitchell said he looked for the curve and adjusted to the fastball, but I am not sure he said that quote. My guess would be Hank Aaron as well.

Which is fine unless the pitcher experiences soreness during the last twenty pitches.

At this point, in July, six innings was plenty to set up a trade.

Complaining about a legit #2 starter barely throwing 100 low stress pitches in July. The analytical revolution has really brainwashed people. It’s what is expected and there’s always the chance these teams lowball the Reds and they don’t trade Castillo.

Morton is good but man the hitting is just atrocious on this team for the last month.

Well, if that was his last start as a Red, it was good one.

Holding the Braves to 1 solo HR and getting yourself out of jams without surrendering anything should impress everybody looking to add a SP.

He’s going to be traded. Only questions are where and how much in return.

Hoffman has been more of a good radiator fluid then a gas can.
