Let's gooooooooo
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
One more run would make me feel much more comfortable right now.

I've got a lot of complaints about how the Reds have handled their trade assets (I am still bitter about their refusal to sell high on Iglesias and Garrett when they were in demand) but letting Castillo throw 100+ pitches is very far down the list. It's fine.

***SCOREBOARD STUMPER***
Hank Aaron had three of his biggest hits in Cincinnati. First, the easy one.
1. On Opening Day in 1974, Hank tied Babe Ruth's homerun record with long ball number 714. Who surrendered the homerun to Aaron?
2. A first-inning single at Crosley Field was Hank's base hit #3000, making him the first player in baseball history to amass 3000 hits AND 500 HR's. Also, a first inning homer off the very same pitcher two seasons later at Riverfront Stadium gave Hank 660 career homers, the most by any player in history with a single franchise(Ruth had 659 with the Yankees). Who surrendered both Hank's 3000th hit and 660th HR ?

“It’s the mathematical potential for a single game to last forever, in a suspended world where no clock rules the day, that aligns baseball as much with the dead as the living.”
