4 1/3, but hey, doesn’t make it any more rosy.

At some point it would be good to know why the pitching strategy for this club is to throw a ton of pitches. So crazy.

4 years from now Castellini will be bragging about his strategy in 2022 to get them where they are in 2026. I’m throwing up in my mouth a bit just knowing it’s coming.

Need a lot of offence. 8 new relievers. Well 7 . I'll count Diaz as good even though he isn't proven.
Need at least two good veteran starting pitchers to go with Greene. Lodolo. Ashcraft. Dunn.
Then hope they all stay healthy cause they will not have depth. I'm not count on 4 good starts from Overton. 2 against Pittsburgh. But they will . They put SanMartin in the rotation to start the year based off two good games last year against Pittsburgh.
I wish I was as optimistic as you are. But this team needs 15 or more new better players on the 26 man roster to compete

There was another pitcher, a Yankee pitcher, that got his 3000th K on a 4th of July. He struck out Larry Parrish for #3000 on July 4, 1984 . Who was he? _____________

Back to Hank Aaron. Hank wanted to set the HR record in Atlanta. He felt he owed it to his hometown fans. He wanted to play the second game of the series in Cincy and sit out the other two . Bowie Kuhn said no. Kuhn said Hank had to play in at least two of the three games. Hank's first AB on Opening Day against Billingham resulted in #714. It was Aaron's only hit of the series. He got #715 off Dodger lefty Al Downing in the Braves' home opener. Remember the two kids who ran alongside Hank as he trotted towards third base. Those kids, Brett Gaston and Cliff Courtenay, are now 65 years old(if they're still living).

Anyone remember who caught Hank's #715 HR ball? ____________

Anyone know who gave up Hank's very last HR- #755 ??? ___________ Hint: He pitched three scoreless innings against the Reds in one of the best WS games ever played. Were it not for a great play, he could have been the losing pitcher in that game.
Tom House caught number 715. On the first question I will go with Phil Niekro. No idea on the last one.

Scherzer is throwing so many pitches that the Reds aren’t expecting. Like they are guessing wrong on 75% of the pitches.

Why are the Reds looking at 68 and 75 mph floaters in the strike zone?

Wouldn't be Neiko on 755 cause Aaron was a Brewer when he hit 755. So a AL pitcher that pitched for Boston in 75.
