Reds were +335 before first pitch… that means the reds have a 23% chance to win… before a pitch is thrown… the. They were down 3-0 in the 9th.

If I were Bell, I would have challenged the first force out at home in the 9th. Looked to me like, in the only view I saw, that the ball was not under control in the catchers glove and was moving out as he was bringing the glove up for the transfer to his bare hand. Then it popped our for an instant and was quickly secured by the bare and and an incriminating tag was attempted late.

I don’t think it’s been pointed out yet, but Cole can’t win against the Reds. 1-8 career. Of course he dominated tonight, but they have his number!

Well if he had, he would have lost it thus he wouldn’t have had a challenge on the game-ending DP and the Yankees would have had another chance.

Reds winning tomorrow is much more probable than winning down 4-0 in the 9th against Holmes.
In any event i said what I wanted, I didn't predict it was going to happen.

With my schedule, I had duty tonight and couldn't watch. Bad storms her tonight, but i had DVR'd the game. In listening the game I thought, I'd just erase it but I got home n the 9th in the 9th innings, so I watched. This ownership tried to emasculate this team, but it's not to be. Of course they will try to do it again at the trade deadline, but tonight our kids came through. It was glorious on this night.

A lot of players on the Reds called it the best victory of the season. Since starting the season 3-22, Cincinnati has played respectable baseball, going 30-32 since then and riding a five-game winning streak.

If they were down 4-0, who knows if they'd won?

I think Aaron Boone did a horrible job managing the 9th. He left Holmes in there way too long. It was obvious to even a casual fan that he didn't have it. It was a no brainer to pull him

I gave up after the Reds hit in the 7th in favor of Christmas at Downton Abbey, only to have my wife report "the Reds are winning" "nuh uh." This has been a weird season.
