I think it's a fine take, I agreed even before the HR. More reason to see if this guy can play than Albert Almora.

I believe hoping for fourth outfielder is about as slow as it goes.

In this division, as stupid as it sounds, IF the Reds can get into third place and be 5-7 games out or less, then **I** would shore up the bullpen.

Ha I'm not just saying that because he smacked a HR. Fairchild is slashing .275/.366/.570 this year and is a solid defender. Are there better 4th and 5th OF options in the system currently?

Redsfirst set of back-to-back-to-back HR since Eugenio Suárez, Jesse Winker & Derek Dietrich, 5/5/2019 vs SF, off Jeff Samardzija (1st).

Fairchild is the first player to homer in his first plate app as a Red since Tyler Stephenson, 7/27/2020 vs Cubs off Duane Underwood Jr..

Over/under of 0.5 on the number of times Fairchild blinks the rest of the game

It ain't happening in a million years. Enjoy the 5 game winning streak. The losing streaks will be back soon. It's too late they could bring in 3 Rivera's for the pen. They aren't going to avoid losing 100.

I feel ya man. I'd love to see him stick. It's just I try to temper my enthusiasm with the reality that he has been bounced around a lot for a reason. I'm rooting for the kid for sure.

Farmer’s shot was an absolute bomb. I didn’t think he was capable of hitting a ball that far.

This team looks like it’s playing with a bit of swagger right now.
