I didn't mean that these injuries are his fault or because he's doing something wrong. But similar to Senzel, he seems to be cursed at finding ways to get hurt. At some point, you have to wonder (in both cases) if their bodies are best preserved at another position.

Just noticed that Welsh is doing color on this home game. Anyone know why Larkin is not there?

Stephenson is kind of turning into Senzel but with talent.

Probably time to stop playing him at C.

I don’t get throwing a fastball right down the middle at 0-2.

It’s a problem with this team.

The drop off in offensive production at catcher is massive when Stephenson is out.

A .147 hitter is now at catcher for the Reds.

I gotcha. I don't think there's any saving Senzel from himself, but yeah moving Stephenson off catcher is starting to look like a no-brainer.

I wonder if he is taking some time after this father died.

I've had that happen when I was younger. Luckily I didn't break it, but I couldn't move my arm for days. The fact that that came in about 30 mph faster makes me less than optimistic he avoided a season-ending injury. Sucks.

At this point, I'd probably just plan on having him share DH with Votto next season.
