Could Hunter Greene DH for Papierski? I think he would be a better option.

Why Votto in cleanup? This is clearly Drury's spot.

I was thinking "isn't Papierski due for a day off"?

Lopez had a really good start to his season but he's been somewhat rocky since then.

So, this start will either be a continuation of that trend or he suddenly finds his groove again and pitches 7 innings and gives up only a run or two.

Ugh no Solano. He hits RHP better than Moose.

Drury has thrived hitting second this season. Plus since he's been the Reds most productive hitter, hitting second gives him a better chance of having an extra at-bat during the game.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

    Joey, JJ, Jesus, and Jacob.

I guess it pays to have a first name starting with "J" on the Marlins

Assuming Drury isn't dealt away, who would be okay paying him, say, 20 mil for 3yr. if that's what it took to keep him here? He might give you 100 dingers over the next three seaons or he may flop like Moose.

Like I said in the Brandon Drury thread
I'd try to trade everybody eligible for free agency at seasons end.

some lively discussion in that thread

The 600 plate appearances before this season he had a 70 OPS+, so 30% below league average, and he’s going to be 30 in a month. If the Reds are going to pretend to be poor, paying for career years after the fact doesn’t seem very smart.

Agree they should trade them all stockpile prospects. If the get 10 total prospects they will be doing good if they hit on 2.

I'm just curious, though, were those 600 plate appearances just basically a handful of AB's here and there or did he ever get 300 or 400 AB's of playing every day? I feel like this is a guy who may get peak performance by being in a lineup everyday. Not everyone is a Many Mota, who could hit regardless of how much or little he was called upon. Idk, Drury may be a guy who excels when he plays most every day and struggles when called upon sporadically.

Something tells me , though, we will be disappointed in the return we will get for Drury, if traded. I can see this bunch not getting much of anything for him.
