Haven't been on here much recently, so this may have already been discussed. Watching tonight - the Reds should put Minor and Hunter on back-to-back nights. If the soft-tossing lefty followed by the flame-throwing righty doesn't mess up some teams...

Just like that lol. He gives up A LOT of home runs. That ain't going to work in GABP.

Minor numbers the first time through the lineup this season are great. After that not so much. Maybe he become the lefty in the pen.

They're gonna let him start and try to eat a few innings to save the innings the kids would have to pitch

Well they could have him as a 3 inning opener piggybacked with Greene to cut into Greene's innings or put him in the pen and bring up Lively who has been decent at AAA this year- unlike Dunn so far.

This was Mike Minor's last start before the trade deadline.

He has a 1-7 record and a 6.31 ERA in a tough year for the veteran left-hander.

It looked like David Bell pulled him earlier than he usually would have.

For 5 1/3 innings, Mike Minor was delivering his best start as a Red, relying on his changeup and mixing his pitches really well to get soft contact.

Then he allows a game-tying two-run homer and gets the early hook at 84 pitches.

There's one lefty they should have kept...Cionel Pérez. Having a good year.

The Reds waived left-handed reliever Cionel Pérez during the offseason.

He returns to the mound at GABP as a member of the Orioles.

Pérez has a 1.30 ERA. That's the fifth-lowest ERA by a reliever in all of baseball.
