Kudos to Votto on the 2-run HR on a night nobody else has delivered any RBI's. Good follow-up to him striking out for the last out last night.

If the glove broke, did he really have possession at the time of the attempted transfer? Is that review-able, and if so, what would they rule about the runners' position if they found he didn't ever get control in his glove?

I'd be surprised if Diaz pitches before Sunday. He pitched last two days
He only threw a couple of pitches that first game, and not many yesterday. I'd use him. He hasn't been overused.

It’s not just the number of pitches thrown in the game, it’s warming up in the bullpen, etc. In a lost season there’s just no reason to do it.
