Really interested to see where they play Marte, Elly and McLain. Guessing McLain won’t find much time at SS anymore.

Since he's only 20, I'm starting to see the Geno comp. If he keeps bulking up, he's really going to have that body type, I think.

Not sure which is more surprising, Marte’s power (which looks legit), or the fact that Tyler Callahan actually was on base at least two times in this game (scoring on both of Marte’s HR’s).

Looks like that ridiculous raw power in the scouting reports is actually a thing because he missed that first HR. Over his past 95 AB Marte has 9 HR and 30 RBI with a BB/SO rate of 10/15. He's only had 3 PA against a pitcher younger than him all year. Doubtful he sticks at SS, but he could very well end up being the best hitter in our stacked system.

I remember the Reds would have their top pick play a week or two in Billings even if they were ready to start at A or A+. I wonder if Marte being in Dayton is a week or two gift to those loyal Dragon fans and he'll be in AA shortly.
