    Re: Noelvi Marte

I think we need to stop worrying about “greatest value as a SS.” Marte’s greatest value to the Reds will be to add another young offensive cog to the horses coming up from the minor leagues. Even if Marte ends up in LF, his bat will be a huge addition for several years.

At the end of the day, if EDLC gets moved to 3B and Marte ends up in the OF, it’s all good. And if the Reds tell Marte that his quickest route to the major leagues is by way of RF or LF, I guarantee that he’ll be shagging fly balls in the OF during batting practice tonight.

Marte was taken out of the game yesterday after a stealing 2nd. It looked like a hamstring issue.

Marte on the 7 day injury list. I think it was a hamstring. Hopefully this doesn't linger.

    Re: Noelvi Marte

The Reds have promoted shortstop Noelvi Marte to Triple-A, per source.

Marte is a long time Top 100 prospect who is still just 21 years old. He was a key part of the Luis Castillo trade return from the Mariners.

IMO the Reds future IF is Marte 3B, Elly SS, McLain 2B, and CES 1B. Four legit All Star to MVP caliber talents on the IF.

I agree with this 100%. Is India a part of your future? I see him in LF. Steer in right? I like Marte in the dirt but could see him being the one at RF and keeping Steer in left.
