I’m hoping this is a one time bit to line up Williamson or Dunn in the rotation.
I’m not sure what the numbers for everyone are, but we certainly do not want our entire rotation to become free agents at the same time. Probably leave Williamson down until next season. I would imagine that 5th spot is going to be worse than Minor the rest of the way.

Good news is Williamson can't gain enough service time this year for his FA clock to start.

I only wish he were a hard-hitting outfielder instead of a pitcher. I like the sound of Slugger Dugger.

Problem is, like his hitting, there is probably only 1 pitch he can handle.
What is the service time to gain a full year? It used to be if you left a guy down for about 3 weeks it'd allow a 7th year of control.
A player needs to be on an mlb roster 172 days of the 186 day season to get a full year of service time.
