I thought of another one: “Deacon Blues” by Steely Dan.

Jim Steinman is a good songwriter. I could always identify a Steinman song. Unique style. Wrote for Meat , Air Supply, Bonnie Tyler, Celine Dion, Barry Manilow, and more...

True story, and you may be aware of this, Walter Egan once appeared on the Scrabble TV game show as a contestant. He sang a few bars of his track to Chuck Woolery (sp?) and the crowd to identify himself.

I was not aware of that. Thank you.

Also- it was written about Stevie Nicks? And she sings backing vocals on it? I think this may be true.

If I had to karaoke a Steely Dan Song it would be either Pretzel Logic or Doctor Wu

    My Life - Billy Joel

This was the first song I ever recorded off the radio. I was 9 years old, using my dad’s clunky tape recorder and the even clunkier radio that took up an entire cabinet in the dining room. Over 40 years later, I still never tire of hearing it, it always takes me back to those days.
