I'm going to somewhat cheat, because the version of the following song I really love is never on the radio: Glen Campbell's ballad version of "Galveston." When Jimmy Webb wrote the song, it was a slower ballad-like song, but Glen recorded it more uptempo, backing himself with his peerless guitar playing. It was huge hit and I liked it. However a few years later Glen sometimes sang the ballad version in concert. If you get on YouTube you can find a version he recorded live circa 1977 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with Glen wearing tuxedo with wide lapels and having a pageboy style haircut. I find the song to be much more emotional and moving as a ballad, and Glen really nailed the vocal that night. Anyway, I never turn that version of the song off.

For me, it's a toss-up between Blood and Blonde.

I find Steely Dan to be overrated, creepy and absolutely irresistible. Really good stuff, that song especially.

It reminds me of when I worked in Sarasota, sitting in the back of a warehouse on a production line listening to WDUV, the Dove....some of that music just wonderfully awful.

I give the nod to Blood because of Youre a Big Now- you can just feel his pain....just seeps through that whole album, that song especially. Take your pick, though. He's an amazing songwriter.

Highway 61 is my fav, though I wouldn't kick Blood or Desire out of the bed for eating crackers

It's the one song I don't just not turn the channel, but I sing along. And I do the same with the Atari's version.
    Where we gonna go?

Glen was , well... quite simply, one of the best musical talents EVER!

One of the ten songs I'd wanna hear right before I passed on.... Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. Any song that can romanticize death and have you feeling good after you listen to it ... my kinda song. LOVE IT. I never change the channel when it comes on.

I was going through a horrendous divorce when the album came out. I felt like I was living it out in real time. Searing.

SOMETHING ABOUT YOU --- Boston One of my favorite Boston numbers (and I have a bunch of Boston favorites).

Simply impossible to hear this song and not be in a better mood than before you listened. Go ahead, try it !!! Tell me I'm wrong.
