    I guess this year's pen is so elite that no one could be bumped out.
    The Reds weren't willing to pay him 1.5M$ for a two month tryout. Who is to blame them, is claiming him going to push you and 50,000 of your friends to show up to GABP? He'd have to pitch like an all-star to warrant being tendered a contract this winter that would make him quite possibly the 3rd highest paid player on the 2023 roster.

    The only surprising thing about the Dietrich suspension is that it didn't happen sooner.

    At minimum I’d think the amount of Axe Body Spray he wears would have inadvertently set off a test by now.

    Yasiel Puig wrote two sincere and moving tweets about Vin Scully

    @YasielPuig
    Aug 3
    "You gave me my Wild Horse name. You gave me love. You hugged me like a father. I will never forget you, my heart is broken. My hand over your family’s hearts.
    Los Angeles, I am sorry I am not there with you today to cry together."
    @TheVinScully
    ------
    "Having Vin comes up to me like I was specials to hims made me feel like his son. Since he went to heaven I write his name before each at bats and I know he is the reason I get a home run everyday since he pass. I wants the baseball to reach him. Thank guys"

    Any interest in Franmil Reyes? DFA by Cleveland. Having an awful year but a career .800 OPS guy with multiple years of team control

    Don’t see what it would hurt next year and the rest of this one

    More so than Limet, simply due to the fact that he's controlled for an extra year and is much younger. But I don't see the Reds picking up the 1.5M remaining on his contract this year and then paying him 6-7M$ next year - not with the penny pinching era they've entered.

    If I were PIT, OAK, COL (and a good amount of other teams for that matter) I'd definitely be thinking about it.

    I don't think he clears waivers.
