While this game is certainly a riveting affair, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around what a really drunk Ron Madden would be like.

Anyone that has ever frequently read these game threads has already witnessed a drunk Ron Madden.

It's the only way I can put up with some people.

Listened to the game with some neighbors.
we watched the Dodger tribute to Vin Scully then turned the sound off on the TV and we watched that game while listening to the Reds game.

I came home not long after the Reds game ended.
Even though the Reds lost we had a good time.
Baseball, Good friends and Cold Beer.. Can't beat it!

Senzel plays hard, runs hard. If anything, he’s had to tone it down to avoid injury.

I think playing smarter is Senzel's neediest area for improvement.

My main gripe with the shift is it’s unfair to left handed hitters. When they pull the ball it’s a short throw to first for the out. Loading up all those players on the right side of the infield just seems very unfair. The impact on RHH is less concerning IMO.

That's a fair penalty for lefties to suffer since they get to hit against right hand pitchers so often. Do not change the player position rules, please.

KC61 nailed it. The shift kills LHB. It has definitely cost Votto. Will keep him from finishing his career above .300 average.
