The Reds have now gotten rid of the entire rotation from 2021....what we have now is the AAA rotation. Unless you want to rush the rest of the minor league young guys they have invested in get used to seeing SP filler the rest of the year.

Justin Dunn will join the Reds' rotation on Tuesday vs. the New York Mets. Reds had an opening after Hunter Greene went on the 15-day IL.

Maybe MLB will let the Reds do the “roll the inning” sprint training thing.

Anybody got any info on either Lively or Overton's condition?
Lively is out with an elbow injury.
Overton:
RHP Connor Overton (stress reaction in lower back)
Expected return: Late August
Overton has started a throwing program at the team’s complex in Goodyear, Ariz., and has been making progress.
“End of August would be a target date to have him pitching. He threw up to 90 feet yesterday or today,” Reds manager David Bell said.
Overton was scratched from his May 22 series finale start against the Blue Jays after complaining about back soreness the previous day. An MRI exam revealed a bone bruise caused by a stress reaction in his lower back. The right-hander was shut down from throwing for at least 6-8 weeks. (Last updated: July 8)

How far does it have to go before other teams begin to question “the integrity of the game”?

If they're going to lose anyway (and they are), the Reds might as well have a sort of open auditions for a roster spot next season amongst the flotsam of the Louisville Bats' pitching until guys can get healthy. I see no reason why they wouldn't see if Dunn resembles the guy who was largely a league average starter with Seattle before getting hurt. Or trying Brandon Williamson and seeing if his talent trumps location-- if nothing else, it provides a blueprint for what he has to work on next year to come back. (They're going to turn to him as a starter next year regardless.)
Beyond that, I'd be scouring the waiver wires for help.
They need to stay in that bottom seven in order to have a shot at the top draft pick. Three spots in the rotation for Minor and the not-ready-for-primetime-pitchers should ensure that.
