It will take a year or more of consistent extraordinary production to get most prognosticators to take notice. He had little helium coming into the draft. Not only that, he's a 1B/ DH/ 3B-- he's going to have to mash.

maybe fastballs in on the hands and breaking stuff away?

he has such easy power. I think he's the answer to Votto's departure.

It should be interesting to see the development of the “Twins hitters” Steer and CES v the “Mariners hitters” Marte and Arroyo. Just talking about offense now, not all around skills.

The Twins hitters aren’t as highly ranked but have very good minor league performances. The Mariners hitters are highly ranked, have good minor league performances but at lower levels with some inconsistency.

Will be interesting years from now to compare how things turned out. Put it on your 2028 calendars.

I'm having CES updates/highlight withdrawals. Glad to see Chatanooga has a double header today.

Love this guy’s opposite field power.

If CES plays 1st Base for the Reds, he may very well be the fastest runner ever at the position in recent memory.

It’s so refreshing seeing him go the other way so often especially with his power.

Man, I need to get back to Biloxi for a game. Last time I was there, their stadium definitely did NOT have the Beau Rivage just past the right field fence!

That was a off speed pitch in that clip that looked like he didn't get all of it but his power took it to the wall.

Lookouts OPS > 800 rank (Chattanooga PAs only):

    1. Elly De La Cruz
    2. Alex McGarry
    3. Christian Encarnacion-Strand
    4. Matt McLain
    5. Allan Cerda

This list doesn't include Robbie Tenorwicz, Isiah Gilliam, or TJ Hopkins, who all mashed then moved up to AAA. Siani and Quintana are in the 750 OPS range. Former Lookouts James Free and Ivan Johnson are also around there, as is Chuckie Robinson.

That's a bunch of pop, some of it from unexpected sources.

Next year's Louisville squad might end up pretty solid offensively.

3 hit night for Encarnacion-Strand so far tonight, including his 30th HR. He has torn the cover off the ball this season.
How do we know he's not Mel Torme?
