Justin Boyd, future leadoff Hitter of the 2025 Cincinnati Reds

    https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...edium=referral

Was the ideal leadoff hitter in the Pac-12 last season with an OBP of .490, BA of 373 (and an OPS of 1.067). He stole 24 bases in 31 attempts. He plays all three OF spots.

He began his Minor League career with the REDS manning CF.

In 3 Plate Appearances in his first game, he displayed it all....

    Singled
    Stole a base
    Scored
    Doubled
    Scored again
Caught the only ball hit to him in 7 innings (hard to believe only one ball went to CF in 7 innings).

His rise through the REDS' system will be fast.

After one game, Justin Boyd has been moved up to Daytona and is in LF for tonight's game. Allen is the regular CF.

Boyd Doubles in his 2nd Plate Appearance with 2 outs in the 4th inning for the Tortuga's 2nd hit of the night, currently trailing 7-0.

This team can use an infusion of talent like Boyd and Arroyo (also moved up from the ACL).

Kingspoint goes overboard with his OSU player takes, however, I liked the Boyd pick. People immediately said “Fairchild” but Boyd seems to have a better hit tool. His year at OSU was pretty fantastic.
What would you say.....ya do here?
