Smoltz wouldn't, but others seem to be as stubborn as Barrero.

They don't have late-night flights out of Iowa.

Lol I tuned in for literally the last pitch of the game, a Reds strikeout to lose it

STL lost for anyone needing a pick-me-up.

Losses haven’t really bothered me since the first month of the season.

This one agitates me. It shouldn’t - this team is incredibly bad. But I wanted to win this one.

With a gutted roster, I expect these last games will not be good.

Sorry MLB…guess you are stuck using Tim Anderson’s homer once again for next year’s promo.

Re: 8-11-22 Reds vs Cubs 7:15

Despite the Reds losing, this was one of the most enjoyable games of the year for me to watch. The score was never going to be central to the game, either way. This was about celebrating baseball, it’s history, it’s storytelling, it’s heart. MLB did a solid job on those counts. From the uniforms, to bringing veterans players like Bench and Fergie back, to the Harry Carey hologram.

The Griffey’s coming out to start the game was brilliant, and not just because of the Reds connection. The movie is about father/son relationships, and there is no better father/son relationship in baseball today than the Griffey’s.

Votto on the mic was amazing. We all know how special he is, how smart, clever, funny he is, and now everyone else does too. I really hope Votto stays involved in the game after he retires, he brings a breath of fresh air to the game.

I noticed that the game has gotten significant national attention this morning, all positive. This was a big win for the Reds organization, and baseball, imo.
