You should have seen those St Louis Browns/Washington Senators/Philadelphia A’s matchups from the late 30s through early 50s. Except 1943-44 years. The salad days for the Browns.

Dumb rule. It should be at least 4. 2 pitchers max. I understand why they did it but it’s too low.

I would have liked to see Clemente play LF in Fenway.

Tyler Mahle exits with a trainer midway through the third inning after struggling to top 90 mph with many of his fastballs.

Yes it's stupid. Another Manfred rule I'm sure.

That sucks. Hopefully not season ending thing. For Mahle.

Lodolo's ERA now down to exactly 4.20.

7 hitter leads off with a double, but disappointing to me the 8th and 9th hitters with poor offensive stats have a chance to show how they can contribute to scoring runs in a scoreless game and can't even make productive outs. India could have been safe on that bad throw and continued the inning if he had any athleticism left in his injured body.

Fraley doesn't look like the same hitter against a LHP. Another platoon guy on a team full of platoon guys.

My guess is that they DFA a few veterans in Sept and bring in more than 2. I know that's what I'd do

I think they are going at the problem the wrong way. They should let the active roster go up to like 32 in September, but each games line-up card can only have 22 or 23 names on it to be eligible for that game.

They are off tomorrow. So hopefully Diaz will pitch 2 innings today. Provided he doesn't throw many pitches to get 6 outs
Be nice to avoid the sweep, but the last thing they need to do is over work Diaz.
I get the feeling that we will see Warren in the 8th though.

man if only Williamson could stop walking everyone in the minors this year I'd be so cool to see him and Lodolo both having starts like this
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
