Pretty sad. Here we have a team in the pennant race playing a team like the Reds who basically have no pitchers for this game. The Phillies have spent $100 million and change more than our Reds and that's just on the 26 man roster. This is a problem if your goal is to sell a competitive product. Does MLB really intend to sell pennant race baseball that resembles Ohio State football vs a MAC team?

Williamson is a lh starter 24 yrs and 6'6 at La Ville 3.50 era. Steer is hitting well also. Genius Krall get busy with callups.

I agree. I've never been clear on how service time is figured, but Williamson and Steer could make things more interesting. And it's not as if anyone is blocking them.

Isn't Williamson walking over a batter per inning?

Last year it was 3.0 per 9 IP. This year it's 5.4 per 9.

He may need more time in AAA, but he'll be 25 next April.

BTW, he and Lodolo were teammates at TCU.

The Phillies had a pretty gut wrenching loss yesterday to the Mets where they lost that series.

Maybe they are still deflated and lay some duds

I see the tarp is on the field. Still don't understand the lack of retractable roofs in baseball

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Fraley grounds out to 1st on first pitch of the game.

India has a nice 10 pitch AB but flies out to CF.

Farmer strikes out on a fat fastball and curses.

Schwarber strikes out on a called strike 3 that was outside and low. Thanks ump.
