Dawson was an excellent QB for the Chiefs in the 60's and into the early 70's. He lead the Chiefs to two Super Bowls, the first one and number 4, winning that one. I don't remember him too much as a player as his career was winding down when I started watching the NFL. But I do remember him as a very good analyst on NBC games. IIRC, he mainly teamed with Charlie Jones on the broadcasts. He always had good clear thoughts and opinions of the game he was covering and did it without hyperbole. RIP Lenny Dawson.
