    That’s the problem. They didn’t preserve the kid. They couldn’t resist.

    It’s not good bullpen development. I doubt any of the good teams would have done that.
    The good team did the same thing with similar pitchers, KC. John Gant and Collin McHugh are two TJ survivors who came from starting backgrounds and were put in a variety of situations throughout the season. Moreso, in fact, than Antone.

    It's bad luck that the Reds' three best relief arms all went down within nine months of each other. It's bad management not to sign multiple good (re, expensive) relief arms for depth.

    But the Reds are doing the same thing everyone else is doing developmentally.

    Like I said, if so, then the Reds are just doing it worse. They have very little to show for their efforts.
