I do believe the REDS knew what they were doing and Aquino's adjustments are showing results. Another month for Aquino to work on his new approach.

That "is" the spirit of replay. That is why it is called a base, because you have to be contacting it in order to be safe from being put out. A good slide includes maintaining contact with the base after reaching it.
Man, I hope to the baseball gods that he has finally worked it out.

The wind robbed Aristides Aquino of a homer last night.
Nothing was stopping him today. Aquino just blasted a ball out of Wrigley Field. Reds and Cubs tied 1-1 in the third inning.

It was meant, IMO, to eliminate massive botched calls that glaringly impacted the outcome of the game, but you can't really have it both ways without making more trouble for yourself.
